An introduction to Ross Foxall

Your career to date?
I started off in food retail following attaining A Levels but quickly realised I needed more to get my mind around.

I worked for CIS for 3 years and experienced the old style door-to-door world of financial advice and then contrasted it for 3 years with an office based role with The Woolwich. It was when I realized that to give the best advice you can only truly do so within an Independent role and so I have spent the last 10 years doing that. I attained the ‘Diploma in Financial Planning’ in 2008 and am excited about the transition our industry is taking and the opportunities it will present to both my clients and myself.

If you could offer one piece of financial advice to an individual, what would it be and why?
Utilise all of your tax breaks.

Which areas of financial planning do you feel an individual should be addressing in the next 2 years?
Investments and pensions .

What is the most common mistake you find individuals make in financial planning?
Not acting quickly enough.
