An introduction to Gareth Doeg

Your career to date?
I joined the industry in 1991 after being recruited into a small firm in Leeds. Being able to work closely with highly experienced and qualified advisers was a great experience and an invaluable start to my career. I developed my practice further in the IFA sector and since 2005 have worked with Honister Partners.

I assist Individuals and Business Owners of widely differing financial resources or lifestages on many aspects of Financial Planning. I firmly believe that the foundations for achieving financial goals and lifestyle aspirations are built upon creating a long term partnership between myself and my clients. This partnership allows us together to create clarity and certainty in our clients world.

What is your strongest childhood memory?
As a seven year old moving from England to Holland and being placed in a Dutch school not knowing a word of Dutch. It did however teach me the ability to adapt and accept change, I was fluent in Dutch in about 12 months!

Blue Monday by New Order.

You have one flight, where would you go and why?
Sedona, Arizona – still one of the most fantastic places I have ever visited.

Who would be your three guests at a dream dinner party?
James Hunt, Steve McQueen and Michael McIntyre.

What was the last major change in your life and why?
Having children. The last eight years since my first son was born has ensured that I understand the value of time and how important a good work/life balance is.

Google.

Ceylon or Java first thing in the morning?
Skinny Latte - Strong.

A winter break, sun or snow?
